rundll32 belongs in your system folder. What is the path to your "startup directory"?
You could do a search on R-Reboot at http://www.symantec.com. They have a comprehensive database of viruses, worms, and Trojan horses. I also recommend that you update your virus definitions and run a scan. What I now believe is that it is virus (or trojan) called R-Reboot. Apparently one characteristic is that it puts rundll32 in startup directory and maybe that is what makes it want to reboot all the time. What I read today says it loops thru a routine that causes frequent restarts. Can anyone running XP (I run XP Pro) confirm that rundll32 does not belong in startup directory? And if you know of a fix, please direct me to it. :) Susan Webster Canton, Ohio To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
