On the subject of viruses, I was very pleased with my ISP two days ago. I
had five emails address to m, apparently from my ISP aministrator, aying
that my account (which isn't mine, but my husbands) was about to be closed.
It had a file attached of 24.5KB called message.zip, which I didn't open.

Exposing the headers showed that the email apparently came from me to me,
although half way down the headers was Sender; The Bat!. So I sent it to my
ISP, and they responded with the fact the another of their customers had an
infected machine which was generating these emails, that they'd notified the
customer and blocked traffic on their account until their computer was
cleared of the virus. I assume they will check with the customer somehow -
not necessarily by computer - that the machine has been cleared.

They didn't say what the name of the virs was, but only that it was another
of those which takes random bits of email addresses and generates a phantom
sender address.
