Reminds me of a joke in Reader's Digest that ended with the narrator's mother saying "Son, if you are going to be a soldier, you are going to have to learn to sit like a lady." Later I read an article in Writer's Digest -- oops, it was "The Writer"; let parallel lead me astray, there -- explaining how the author recycled the joke into an article that sold for so much money that the check for the joke, when it finally arrived, was the cherry on top.
