Well, we got an apology from the beaten bidder: <Sorry if I was a bit rude last night regarding the Silver Vesta you snatched from right under my nose. I had been tracking it since Monday, and it is almost exactly the same as the one my Dad used to have, which in turn was originally his fathers. We had quite a lot stolen fifteen years ago in a break-in, and when I saw it on Ebay I thought I'd try to get it as a reminder.
Sorry if I over-reacted a little.> but it wasn't received until after DH had outbid her on the other item. Not being on broadband but on a slow dial-up connection, she wasn't actually showing as the highest bidder when he put his in, so he didn't know she'd bid again until the auction ended. She responded with: <I'm really beginning to get annoyed now, thats twice you done this to me, and it ain't funny.> So all three of her emails are going to ebay. DH wanted to get into conversation with her, but I said no. Let ebay deal with it.
