Gidday all, <<A few years ago, here in Victoria (Oz) the power station where the natural <<gas comes ashore blew up, and there was no gas at all for about 3 weeks!
Oh and don't you remember, it was right in the middle of the annual Aust Lace Guild AGM/workshop week! Horrendous - we had to have cold (and I mean icy, in Melbourne) showers every morning at the college. It was the only time that the people who had electric hot water systems were the envy of everyone else. And boy do I miss gas cooking over here in South Africa - there is no natural gas and I will never get used to electric hot plates. <<Eau de Cologne works very well, too. As I'm allergic to things, even Better than perfume (and cheaper - why waste hers when you can waste his!) is mens aftershave (which probably has similar ingredients in it I suppose) - works a treat, just dab it on, after first doing the "criss cross" with a sharp finger nail of course.
