I found out the following information yesterday. There are no Great Western trains from Reading to Paddington this coming long weekend, not sure what time they stop on Friday.
But you can travel by Thames Trains, you have to change at Maidenhead to a bus which takes you to Slough, then get a train at Slough to Paddington. With the Pop festival in Reading this coming weekend I will not be shopping in Reading this coming weekend. Last night I was amazed to hear singing when I arrived at Paddington Station, there were about 100 people singing "put your right arm in right arm out etc". They had left a big pile of back packs on the floor, there were certainly a lot of smiles from the other passengers.
