Omelets? Fritatta? Anne The thingy is made from terra cotta and is in two oval halves. Each half is about 10 inches long by 7 inches, banded and hinged together with metal. The banding extends out at one end to form long handles. It's rather like an old waffle maker, but really smooth. The halves are also about an inch deep.
