Hi everyone and Rose-Marie I don't know where exactly in the Fraser Valley you are (it is a Big Valley), if it helps any, when my DH and I were in the Richmond area (which I believe is referred to as part of the Delta) a little while ago both of us were disoriented. If I was in Vancouver proper, I would look for the mountains on the 'North Shore' and 'know' where I was. My DH has an uncanny sense of direction, but when he is disoriented, that's bad - it's on account of the flatness where we were, and in the middle of the 'burbs on a cloudy day where there is no significant landmark. Couldn't see the sun to get a bearing - eek. Probably if we lived there we'd sooner or later figure out where we were (heh heh) but we relied on the road map mostly, on that day. If you're surrounded by mountains, it can be just as confusing. Nonetheless, the whole of the Lower Mainland is a beautiful place.
