You just had me on my knees checking the back corner of my closet, looking to see if I still had that pair of red velvet flats. I had them for at least 40 years but, as my feet expanded with old age, I could no longer wear them. They were delightful to wear to Christmas parties. Sad....no longer there! I must have given them to the theatre or something. I think I remember that they had little "diamond" jewels on them.
