When I was in the UK I listened to a lecture on nursey rhymes and the history behind the rhymes. I found this to be very interesting since alot of the rhymes were formed around historical events and what was going on in the world at the rhymes came about. Before I left the UK I found out about a book that had the historical meanings behind these nursey rhymes and when I got home I went on a book hunt for it. The name of the book is The Oxford Dictionary of Nursey Rhymes edited by Iona and Peter Opie. Published by Oxford Press. The ISBN is 0-19-860088-7. History was always one of my best subjects in school. I found it very interesting what went on in the past. So this also interested me. This book is very informative. Sherry [EMAIL PROTECTED]
