Genetically predisposed to withstand the onslaught of disease? Sounds a bit fanciful to me. For one thing, record-keeping in 14th c Europe was sporadic at best, when not dealing with the "creme de la creme" of society; you had a record of baptism and marriage and death, but, most of the time, not the cause of death.
Oh to have records of baptism, marriage and death back to the 14th century! In England you're lucky if the records go back to 1538, the date from when they were supposed to be recorded. Many only date back a couple of hundred years.
