You go under a variety of names but I think all teh packages have been sent from CA. The March package arrived today, a little late but worth the wait. The needle case and mini book are delightful. I think I'm beginning to go into a sewing phase, so they will get used, though really they are more for slip into the handbag for emergency use.
The best bit is the little reel of old thread. I've been looking at it very closely and decided that it is linen; and about as fine as linen gets - unless you come upon some hand spun 18th century thread, which I have only ever seen made into lace. I've measured it as 2S 44 wraps/cm and I'm just about to update the Addendum2 list on my website. Even allowing for it being very fine it does feel a bit week in places so I've dampened it a little and hope it strengthens it a bit. A lot of old thread suffers from having been kept in warm dry conditions, though I understand California gets quite humid during the summer months.
