Fly screens are a necessity here in Oz. Flies are everywhere, all year round, and as for the mozzies - well in some places the claim to cross them with sparrows! - and I can believe it, too, as they are huge! The northern East Coast has an abundance of sand flies, which give nasty bites, and further south, where we go fishing, there are rather too many (for my liking!) March flies - which give a very nasty bite.
So those of you in the Northern Hemisphere are not alone in having these pests invade your homes!
