Prince Charles only has to outlive his mother the Queen to become King - his
elder son will inherit after he dies.

I am no expert in Constitutional matters, but I can't see that he couldn't
be head of the Anglican church - sometimes people find it hard to separate
the person from the body they represent! The Monarch's title is 'Defender
of the Faith' - which he could still be.

And in any case, a lot of divorcees get married in the Anglican Church these
days - it depends on how lenient the priest is, and whether they will
obey/disobey whatever their Bishop decrees. A lot of priests will do that!
There is no problem with the civil marriage, and then a Church blessing -
which is what it sounds as if it will be, and I for one wish them all the
luck in the world. I was one of the few who wasn't too keen on the late
Princess Diana - I thought she seemed a very manipulative person, who knew
just what to do to get the press/media on her side, when it suited her, and
then complained when what she had done backfired on her!

Carol - in a wet and depressing Suffolk, UK.
