When you catch a fish, you roll it in flour, dip it in egg beaten up in milk, 
roll it in cornmeal, and fry it.  Then you make a dough or batter out of the 
left-over breading and fry it in the fish-flavored grease for the dogs.  

Then we discovered how good fried dough is when you add some onions and stuff, 
and started keeping the dogs indoors and feeding them scientifically-formulated 
rations, so it's been a century or so since the dogs got any.
