I've only dyed my hair once, but I don't have a problem if my hair turns red, because I am a red-head who has become a strawberry blonde with all the white & grey hairs becoming more profuse as I've gotten older.
DH has asked me to dye it, & I have a box to do it & now just need to decide on a date to do it - maybe after I get a piece of lace made for the local group's competition. Coloring hair is one thing that is cheap & many Estonian girls who aren't blond dye their hair all shades of red. Sorry I can't help, but I'm sure there is an explanation on the internet.
