Well, news from here is that I had my surgery on Friday
(finally) and I'm now home.
Called my dad to let him know, only to be told by him that Jacquie is now in
hospital waiting for surgery tomorrow (Monday) for gall stones. She was
away from home (Stamford, Lincolnshire) to Shrewsbury on a teaching
assignment when she was taken ill. She is in hospital in Shrewsbury. Her
hubby, Richard had to return home but was able to catch me at home to bring
me up to date.
I'll let you all know what the new is, when I hear anything.

I just phoned the hospital (7.45 UK time) to see how Malvary is and she had
been 'bumped' again last night, so still hasn't had surgery. She is top
of the
list for today, but if a trauma case comes in then she is lower priority.
I
bet she doesn't think so! She is on a drip with painkillers so I guess
she
may be fairly groggy but even so time must be going really slowly for her.
Many thanks to all for the kind thoughts, I will pass them on to her when
I
can (eventually) talk to her.
