Hi all, I've just returned from the USA and the only thing I can add to the 
discussion is that the charger for my mobile (cell) phone wouldn't work with 
just an adapter on it. I eventually went to Radioshack where a very helpful 
man sold me a multi-purpose adapter with the correct jack plug to fit my 
phone. Can't use it in England, but it will come with me again when I next 
visit USA.
Just my tuppence-worth!
