I filled my car's tank with petrol yesterday and was quite disconcerted to
see the cost in pounds dial matching the quantity in litres dial as it
filled. My brain got quite confused watching them - I normally just watch
the litres and don't worry about the cost.
I expect other parts of the country have already exceeded the pound a litre
mark.
