I poked and poked and poked... And, fortified with a couple of glasses
of wine, found it, finally :) It was -- as Martha suggested -- in
Firefox's Preferences. But not in the screen which showed first,
automatically; I had to try several before I found one with a "button"
which said "make Firefox your default browser"... Pox on technology...
