I'm on 10.3 too so I should be telling you correctly!
Open Firefox.
At the top left of the screen (next to the blue apple) is the word
Firefox, click on that,
Click Preferences in the drop down menu.
In the new window at the bottom it says 'Always check to see if FireFox
is the default browser..."
You can check that button, but also click the 'Check now' button. You
should now get the option to make FireFox the default browser.
Close the window and you should be up and running with FireFox as
default browser.

I'd like to change my default browser (the one which gets invoked
automatically, whenever I click on a link provided in an e-mail
message) and don't know how to. Currently, it's Mozilla, but I'd like
for default to be Firefox. I'm on a Mac, 10.3, if that's any help...
