Hello everyone :)
I used to be a lacemaker way back when, and was an active participant of
lace, and lace-chat. Hello all you experienced freaks I knew back then
:) Hey Tamara (still have your butterfly bookmark!), hey Jacqui (still
adoring your porcelane bobbin for the occasion back then!), hey Miriam
(still thinking of your visits to Switzy! so lovely to meet you!) and
hey everyone I once knew or hope to get to know :)
So, I wanted to lurk a bit longer on those lists. But as life works
sometimes, I got a link right now, that I just want to share with
arachnes :)
I used to work with super fine thread, best thing was unspun silk. So I
always wondered just HOW can they work with spider silk. So of course my
friend had to show me the picture of a spider silk work of art. It is
not lace, "just" woven. But I at least will have to make a pilgrimage to
V&A for this:

Spider silk, just imagine how breakable it is!
Just wanted to share the link :) Back to lurkmode I guess, till I put my
first bobbins to work again ;)
