I have been asked by Ericaâs husband â Ian to let all her friends on Arachne know that Erica lost her battle with cancer on January 27th 2013
Erica was a librarian in Hokitika, New Zealand until her retirement, when with her husband they moved to Coalgate, some distance from Christchurch where she continued with her lacemaking and the activities of the local lace group including the Christchurch Lacemakers. She will be missed by all her friends and also the friendship she gave to lacemakers visiting New Zealand from overseas, she was most gracious in her hospitality when ever we visited New Zealand. Ian has said that he will continue to read all the happenings on Arachne, as Erica often asked him to read what we had written!
