I have to say I feel she has encouraged some designers to bring out clothes
which are much more feminine than for some time.
I also have been away from Lace making for some weeks now, after finishing
making some coasters I got stuck into knitting a cardigan I promised my Mum
who has just come out of hospital after almost 4 months. I am almost half
way through it but had the urge to make some lace patterns so i can prepare
some lace to take away with me on my travel pillow next month. I came to
it fresh and got several simple ones printed out and one ready to prick and
work. i have also taken a fancy to getting prepared to make a butterfly,
so printed off the pattern I chose which is the Louise Colgan Milanese one.
I have had the book approx 5 years after working the hummingbird project off
the dvd and not done anything from it, so I must be in a creative mood. I
have even realised I have the right size thread in one of my boxes so its
meant to be. now I just need to make a good job of it, :-)

Hi Everybody:
The cover of Hello Canada this week has a nice picture of the Duchess of
Cambridge out shopping, wearing a lovely cutwork collar. It's enough to make
me go down to the storage locker to dig out my embroidery books!
Some of you know I've been trying to sell my apartment since last fall, so
all of my lacemaking stuff has been packed away. Now I have sold it, so I
can make a mess again! I'm tempted to start about a half-dozen projects,
just because I've been in craft limbo since last August and my fingers are
itching.
