Hi Spiders All, I was supposed to be going into hospital for a hip replacement - long awaited, and would be turning cartwheels with joy, if the hip wasn't too bad at present! - which was scheduled for the 15th May. That gave me a few weeks to get over the shock, I thought, but this morning at 7.40 I received a call from the hospital to say the op. had been brought forward to the 7th May - next Tuesday! Needless to say, I will be so glad to be able to walk without pain, sleep without pain, stand up and sit down etc., but I am terrified at the thought of going into hospital. I have never had a serious hospital operation before, but am consoling myself with the fact that this time next week, it will all be over, and I will be skipping about a bit like a spring lamb...
