If the antenna was on your property, then they have to replace it.

If here was a nest in the Sycamore that was being used, then it is illegal for them to tamper with it in any way. When we lived in Somerset, surrounded by farmland, inspectors were always on the prowl to see that no hedge trimming or
flailing went on while birds were nesting.

From the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development web site:

Report them to Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for interfering
with nesting birds. The number of birds we have is already on the decline
without morons like this making it worse.
