To move my cat, I bought a metal wire crate for a small dog --crate
approx 2' x 3' x 2' high and put her in that with her litter box (and
food/water). As it happened, she curled up on top of litter and after a
couple hours, rode peacefully. Crate with cat inside was moved into
motels at night for some free time.
