Who has the best fruitcake?
My recipe is in a text file on the web:

Use "find" to jump down to "Mrs. Stanley's Spice Cupcakes".
Use common ordinary raisins, dump a whole bag of chopped
walnuts into the cooled syrup, followed by as much cut-up
dried fruit as the dough will stick together. Divide dough
into six 3" x 5.5" loaf pans, decorate with nut halves and
maraschino cherry halves.
I use stone-ground whole-wheat bread flour -- red if I'm
putting in the spices, white when I leave them out, use
yellow raisins, and apricots and a little candied pineapple
for the fruit. (I may stretch the apricots with sulphered
apples.)
I usually use raisins in addition to the raisins in the syrup.
