Ah well, be reassured - Gaye is well again, they are still trading, and now
you've got the email address too!

Don't be surprised if there's a delay in Gaye answering your email though -
she's up to her eyes in extra work at present. She's on the National
Administrative Committee of the Australian Lace Guild, and is in the middle of
handling all the proficiency tests submitted by Australian lacemakers - not to
mention preparing for the annual week of workshops and the A.G.M. of the Guild
to be run in Adelaide in September!.

Well, er... My excuse is also "simple" (in both meanings of the word
): until just now, I didn't have the e-address; it disappeared with
the old 'puter, updates, cleanups, etc... And it's not on the
instruction sheet I got with the winder -- all that's there is "torchon
House" (and, with my memory, I wasn't even sure it *was* Gaye and John
Beswick)

Also, at the time I got the winder (directly from Oz ), Gaye was
ill; when I posted, I had no idea whether she was still trading and/or
whether John was still making the gizmos. People retire (vide the
Tregellas)...
