For all of you who are submitting lace pieces for the contest - The have started arriving - so far I have 4 pieces. They will remain unopened until after July 10th [...]
Not to highten the anticipation, but if you all are interested, I can let you know (After July 10) how many pieces have been entered.
Please do -- on the list, especially if it's as slow then as it's been the last few days :)

American now charge excess over 40 lbs
Transatlantic as well? It used to be 25 kilo... *Per suitcase* (of which you were allowed 2 per each "full" ticket)... Next, they'll want us to flap our arms, and still charge us for it :)
BTW is anyone local arranging a get together for Arachne members? I am not going to offer as I will be off line for two weeks in July.
Awww, Janice... you did such a wonderful job of it in Bethesda (the only IOLI Convention I ever went to before)... It was *the* highlight of that trip for me, too... I'd offer, except that I'm both 'puter-illiterate and totally un-"savvy" as to what's required :(
From what I've heard, a gathering outside of the hotel premises is pretty much out of question -- none are available within a reasonable walking distance which would allow one to come back in time to an afternoon class after lunch (for example)... Is there some way to have Arachne table/s or "corner" er... "cornered" for those who'd like to socialise during meals, perhaps? There are so many people I'd like to "put faces to"...
I am wondering what Patti made in two weeks!
No kidding; I'm *cowed* <g>
I worked on mine from January to May, a total of 152 hours
Depending on how you count, it's been between 10 months and 6 weeks for me :) Never even tried to keep count of *hours*; some days it's 10, some 4, some not at all...
