In Australia, this sort of software has been available to businesses (the first
ones to start using it extensively were real estate agents) for years. I find
it interesting that, in spite of fairly stringent privacy legislation a few
years ago, the legislation doesn't seem to extend to this sort of software.

The legislation means that the Australian Lace Guild is no longer allowed to
circulate a list of member's names and addresses, or give a member the phone
number of another one. It also means that, unless authorised, one partner is
not allowed to discuss an account (such as the phone bill) if the account is in
the name of the other partner...or advise change of address etc.

But, businesses can still track the address through the phone number!
