As I did not know when the book would be available in USA etc. I did not say anything. We have had a lovely family wedding and this took over my life for nearly three weeks. My nephew Simon, who lives nearby, married an Italian South-African girl he had met in Johannesburg. So relatives came from South Africa, Italy and Holland. They had a Civil and a Church wedding. Hard work but great fun.
Both Kathleen and I are pleased with the book and especially the cover which is not the one that appears in the Batsford Catalogue. That was obviously slung together to meet a printing deadline, nothing I could do about it. So now it remains to be seen if the book works - that is, if someone who has never made any lace before, but who is fairly competent with a needle, can understand it and produce some lace, then we have achieved our goal.
