I have something called "Industrial Felt", which I think is the same thing as the NZ "Engineering Felt". It's definitely *not* gasket paper (I've seen that, too). It looks just like felt, only it's about 1" (2.5cm) thick. I believe it does come in other thicknesses. Someone in my lace group got a big piece and we cut it up to make block pillows with. I have to admit my blocks are still sitting atop a bookcase, but someday........... Robin P.
