Greetings from Central Pennsylvania!
The Keystone Lace Guild, host of the 51st Annual Lace Convention 2004 in
Harrisburg, is pleased to announce that Lace Convention 2004 information has
been posted to our website at www.keystonelaceguild.org. Please note that
the roster of classes and workshops is not yet complete and is subject to
change. Updates will be posted monthly, so please check back.

What's NEW for Lace Convention 2004? You will be able to register online
and use your VISA/MC through a secure site beginning March 1, 2004. You can
choose to attend classes all week, a half week, the weekend, or just a day.
In addition to the annual IOLI-sponsored Lace Challenge, "Hex Sign"
(www.internationaloldlacers.org), several more opportunities to "show-off"
your lacemaking skills will be posted on our website by November. In
cooperation with Penn State-Harrisburg, students in grades 5-12 can take
advantage of a special "Fiber Frenzy" week of Kids College at a very
reasonable cost.

PA Trivia: Beginning October 1st and continuing through February 1st, three
new PA Trivia questions will appear for five days each month (October's will
be extended to the 10th). All correct entries will be entered into a random
drawing each month for a $35 gift certificate towards Lace Convention 2004
Registration. You may enter as often as you wish, but you will only be
eligible to win once during the next five months.

And last, but not least, through the generous contributions of several
lacemakers and teachers, a pattern booklet of original bobbin lace and
tatting patterns will be published later in October as a fundraising
activity to underwrite convention expenses. The cost of the booklet is $20,
plus $2 s/h. For ordering information, please go to Sales & Fundraising
under Lace Convention 2004. You will also find an information booklet,
pattern packet, and cross-stitch designs for sale which we hope will
encourage you to participate in the "Hex Sign" Challenge.

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to Harrisburg next August and
we hope you are planning now to join us!!

Sincerely,
Deb & Jaimee Bender, Chairpersons
