dear ruth
an apple doll is a doll made and dressed from a dried apple
they are small and their faces are wrinkled and they look like they are hundreds of years old
they are made here in the hills of virginia and west virginia and probably other close states too
they are sold dressed any way the maker decides and they are really cute
hope this helps

Please, what's an "apple doll"? Is it a doll carved out of an apple, or a
collection of apples stuck together to make a doll, or something else
altogether? And do they have to be dressed as well?
