Once again I am trying to catch up with all the postings. Life seems to take over, one way or another, but I feel I must tell you about the lovely piece of Romanian Point Lace that Sulochona Chaudhuri has made from one of the photos in the Traditional section of my book. She sent me a scan and it is lovely. Sulochona did not start at the beginning, working through all the little samples, but has gone right to the end of the book and worked a mat purely from the photo, there were no patterns included in this section. She has made it in no. 40 crochet cotton instead of no. 20 as the photo is printed to half the size of the mat made by the Romanian Lace Group. No easy matter. Sulochona has used shaded cotton for the outer braid and it looks really pretty. I am very proud of her and hope that Lori will allow me to send a picture of the mat so that she can put it on her web-site for all to see.
