Greetings, everyone I'm preparing to start pattern 11 from Barbara Underwood's "bedfordshire lace in 20 lessons". I want to do the original (finer) version, which the book says should be done in DMC (retors) no 50, but on the pricking the trails don't look wide enough to fit the stated no. of pairs in this thickness. I had a similar problem with an earlier pattern from this book: the recommended thread was too thick and however hard I tensioned the trail crossings just wouldn't lie flat (I broke an awful lot of threads in the process of trying, too). If anyone has done this pattern, what thread did you use? and did it fit the pricking nicely? Beth in a frosty, sunny Cheshire (England) [EMAIL PROTECTED]
