I agree on having conventions at college campuses. Another organization I belonged to had the annual conference at our big state college at Spring break time. We always left little gifts for the kids whose rooms and beds we used. Accomodations were quite pleasant and every dorm had elevators as well as most of the buildings that our classes were held in. Yes, we had to walk between buildings and sometimes it was raining, but we had a lot of fun. However, this college declined to do this anymore for us due to insurance reasons and we have never been back again, having to hotel it ever since. But if there is a college willing to put up with conventioneers, go for it!
