re: Where to stay - neither the University Campus or Pension Jazz are at the end of the Metro. Yes, you can get the Metro out of Prague, and then a bus to the University, but only the very expensive hotel is actually near the Metro. If going to Oidfa with a partner/friend, it is probably better to stay near/in the centre, or at a hotel which specifically says 'near to x station' on the Metro. There are many websites with Czech hotels, which are easy to use and book using credit card. The Lace exhibitions are scattered around the country, but most are within a day-trip out from Prague, and the driving is straightforward. Hope this helps, Milada
