Oh, dear, Noelene, you just can't help yourself, can you? <giggle, tee hee>
Thanks for including Noelene's entire message, Beth; at tleast I know a *part* of what's been going on while technology was having a fit. Never thought I'd say that, but I've been so mail-deprived tonight, I'd *almost* welcome a spam one :) And, no, it's not yet time to join E-holics Anonymous, though it's been a frustrating evening. All I had from lace were 3 messages (from Patricia on Nancy Drew, from Clay on weird e-bay sighting and from Margot ditto -- all dated before noon) before this one came. I suppose, everything in between is now lost in cyberspace... Sigh (can't get to the archives, either)... And no guarantee that the service is now fully resumed, and your message isn't just a little morsel to whet my appetite :)
I have the same clammy-hands problem Tamara complained of, so needle-lace is my "winter lace."
I can't do it in winter, either :) If my hands get really cold (and dry), I have no control over the needle because I can't feel it. If my hands are sweaty, I have no control over the needle because it slips between the fingers -- I can't get a good grip on it. And, of course, even if the rest of me is miserably cold, my hands are ikely to sweat, because I'm nervous, *anticipating* problems...
