Hi All, I looked at the Luxeuil book more last night after writing. I laugh when I miss something right in front of my eyes! The projects start out using the 5mm tape like I use for Battenberg lace but the later projects use a skinnier tape. Possibly like the 3mm tape called Venice tape (I think) on the Lacemaking website that's in the other tape lace e-mail from me. It's a solid weave tape. Also the stitches used appear to be mostly those used in classic NL - Brussels buttonhole stitches.
