Betty Ann has called attention to the proposed IOLI Bylaws revisions that will be considered at the Harrisburg Annual General Meeting. If you have any questions about the revisions, please don't hesitate to contact me. As mentioned, one of the notable revisions is renaming of the Convention Committee as the Convention Oversight Committee. Initially many years ago, this committee planned the annual meeting. Then a Convention was added and the duties shifted more to a local host committee. In an effort to strengthen the liaison between I.O.L.I. and the local host groups, the committee has been renamed the Convention Oversight Committee instead of Convention Committee to distinguish the committee from the host group. Duties of the proposed committee have also been defined. The Convention Guidelines, now renamed the Convention Planning Manual, have also been revised over the past two years by a committee. Changes to the document are currently under review by the Board and will be approved/disapproved at the Pre-Board meeting. After review, anyone who would like to see the document can contact me or the new IOLI President. Also, a survey (pending Board approval) of IOLI members about convention preferences will be distributed at the annual meeting in Harrisburg and also in the fall Bulletin. The Board is seeking your input so please return the survey when you receive it.
