I love Michel Jourde's patterns from Lace Express and he favours Ariane thread. Could someone please suggest a possible alternate thread?
Ariane is a long-staple Egyptian cotton thread, like Aurifil's Mako cotton. You could use that, or you could also use a lot of other cotton threads. Are you looking for any particular size of thread? Ariane comes in several different sizes - if you could say which size you want you might get some more helpful suggestions.
