While I have never used fishing line for spangling, I agree with Margot 100% with regard to her recommendation of exploring fisherman's supply shops!! I've found lots of useful tools and toys by browsing their fly-tying equipment!! It's a fun way to spend a little time, expecially since there aren't many walk-in lacemaker shops around (The Lacemaker in Ohio being the one exception I'm aware of in the East US!!)
