Another suggestion, which I have used, - is to contact the Author of the book, and get permission to use an adaptation of their work. I have done this twice, with 2 different authors, as I made lace by copying an old piece pictured in a book. I received permission, providing I gave the credit to them and the book. Usually, they are pleased that their book has inspired someone to that extent. The V & A Museum, has also given me permission to lift a few flowers, and other ideas from their magnificent book, and try reproducing them.
