Colour ranges are even more fickle than thread sizes :( something which currently comes in a couple of dozen colours could easily be down to just white and ecru next time you are looking for it. DMC cut out a lot of colours a couple of years ago though Madeira have recently increased the Tanne range. Clare's recent request for green Colcoton is a not uncommon situation.
Re: Finca colours - as far as I know it's only their perle which currently comes in colours, the 'regular' Finca is either white or cream, though Vivienne tells us that they are getting some of the finer counts dyed for them.
Excluding stranded embroidery, weaving yarns from specialist suppliers and here-today-gone-tomorrow ranges; to the best of my knowledge the threads which currently come in a reasonable range of colours are;
