Hi Tamara and the Spiders, I have been reading the 'advice' re VIN numbers etc., and the automatic closing of doors with interest. My car doesn't lock the doors individually - and I am claustrophobic, so don't like to be entirely locked in, so my handbag and any *important* stuff is secured in the passenger/rear seat seat belts. I put the seatbelt straps thro' the handles of whatever is precious to me, and lock into the seatbelt whatsit. I don't get claustrophobic panic attacks, and my gear is safe - I did toy with the idea of a carving knife to hack off any fingers that might decide, whilst at traffic lights, to reach in and undo the seatbelts, but apart from (probably) being decidedly illegal, I don't think there is too much of a risk!
