Dear Devon,

That would have been me.  And perhaps others?  I recall saying that the 
initials "IOLI" would not have to be changed with this name and that perhaps a 
lot 
of stationery that was out-and-about would not have to be replaced 
immediately.

I recall being very active in support of a name that represented what we were 
and what we wanted to become.  The present name is very unfriendly to the 
young people we wish to attract, and misleading to the public and press.  
Devon, 
there was someone you know very well who was most vocal about keeping the 
name.  You can guess.

Having a Madison Avenue public relations background, and having learned that 
names applied to a product, service, company, or organization, are very 
important to long-term success, my strongest argument was:
 
"International Old Lacers, Inc." indicates - with "Old" before "Lacers" - 
that the "Old" is referring to people, not lace.
