I was not motivated by the price, but by the cause, which I believe was to raise money to offset some of the costs of the lace exhibit. The price tag is still attached, and it says $15. The donation of time by so many lacemakers is to be acknowledged - loudly! You can be sure I admired every one of the bookmarks before selecting a permanent "reminder" of a lovely exhibition. It has been in the book about the Cone sisters ever since. A fine marriage, don't you think?
