Clay There are a couple if important things that you should remember (and I'm one to talk!). If you are having to lean forward to reach your bobbins then you will have back ache. You need to set you pillow at a angle that allows you to move your hands freely and with them mainly at the point where your elbows are able to rest freely and allow your wrists and hands to move without stress. However, if you don't move your elbows at all, then you run the risk of rsi. So, put your chair against the table and see if your feet sit neatly on the floor - if they don't then put a book on the floor to raise your feet up - your knees should make a clean right angle to your hips and the floor. If the chair is too low then put a pillow and if needed a book on the chair to raise yourself. If the table is too low for you to sit neatly under then put a couple of books on the table to raise them. The first thing I do when I type is take off my watch because it causes one wrist to be too high - so take off your watch. Also, if you wear large rings, take them off so that your hands are equally weighted. A good tip that I was given by my specialist was to get a D pillow - it's a strong latex pillow which is 10" wide by 5" high and 5" deep. I put this in the small of back to keep my posture right - but if you don't have one then roll up a towel and use that - it will force you to sit right and make you feel better. I found a great website for DSE users which shows good posture - what is important when using a pc stands for using a lace pillow - laptops are similar in how they affect posture to lace pillows - have a look at the website - there are some great pictures that show what I mean _http://www.ergoergo.info/_ (http://www.ergoergo.info/) Regards Liz in London I'm back _blogging_ (http://journals.aol.com/thelacebee/thelacebee) my latest lace piece - have a look by clicking on the link or going to _http://journals.aol.com/thelacebee/thelacebee_ (http://journals.aol.com/thelacebee/thelacebee) - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
